Job Title:Finance Manager NGO Andheri East - Mumbai

Job Title: Finance Manager NGO Andheri East - Mumbai
The main purpose of the post is to keep proper record of FCRA and Local Accounts by using SUN accounting software. Maintain accounts for AFHTAC and produce timely and periodically required reports for the management for review
Job Responsibilities
Recording receipts and payment transactions for Local and FCRA accounts using SUN accounting software.
Ensure support and coordination in planning, budget preparation and programme management for efficient and effective implementation of projects.
Preparation and monitoring of admin and programme budgets along with budget financing.
Manage finances from multiple donors for multiple programmes through up-to-date finance management information systems for efficient programme implementation in line with Habitat for Humanity India norms.
Cash flow management is prepared and followed on quarterly basis and reporting to Line manager on time.
Utilization of funds as per budgets and getting the statements certified as per statutory and donor requirements.
Consolidation of statements.
Maintain bank relationship and ensure timely bank reconciliation statement.
Arrange Fund transfer request of partners and review accounts of all units.
Generate debit notes to be submitted to Asia Pacific Office for reimbursement including routine fund transfer request.
Twice in a year prepare financial report for the trustees
Quarterly scrutinize accounts of all the units
Assist in preparing Income Tax returns, FCRA returns, profession tax returns, and address TDS and PF matters and issue receipts U/S 80 G to donors.
Help in the process of statutory audits.
Feedback, reporting and follow up on all financial activities.
Coordinate financial review/evaluations. Follow-up on evaluation recommendations
To do any other work delegated by the Line Manager/Managing Director from time to time

Proficiency in MS-Office (Word and Excel)
Mandatory:
An in-depth understanding of the regulatory and legal framework, compliance requirements and a knowledge of Indian accounting and tax regulations
