Bi*g@Wo*k team is looking for data science & machine learning enthusiast for solving some of the cool & unsolved problems in enterprise search space !

Bi*g@Wo*k a.k.a Microsoft Search in Bing provides intelligent search for modern work space. It brings most relevant information from enterprise content & web together for enterprise users. The team is building some of the cool features from scratch to make work search as easy as web search. While it provides unique capabilities for enterprise users, it also brings up some of the most interesting unsolved problems in the world of data science.

Working with enterprise data adds additional complexity in terms of compliance. The set of problems include building full relevance stack, user intent models, building eyes-off machine learning pipelines, cross lingual semantic search, improving web for work users & many more.

Some of the specific search relevance areas that the team works on include

Query Intent Understanding
Cross lingual Semantic Search
Entity Ranking
Auto Suggestions
Related Searches
Query-EnterpiseUrl ranking
Data mining & pattern analysis

We are looking for candidates who can help build the next generation Machine Learning system. Candidates are expected to be hands on and working on Query Understanding, ranking and data mining. We work on an agile system with fast experimentation, iteration and ship cycles.

To be a successful candidate, the below qualifications are desired:

Proficient and hands on experience on building large scale classification models, ranking models, question answering systems
Proficient and hands on experience on large scale data mining using MAP REDUCE concepts
Proficient in programming languages like Python, C#
5+ years of experience working with various machine learning applications
A focus on detail and being result oriented
Excellent debugging skills
Great collaboration working with teams across the globe
BS degree in CS or Data Science required

Following qualifications would be a plus:
Masters/PhD in Machine Learning
Publications in reputed conferences in the area of Machine Learning
Contributions to open sources Machine Learning packages
