- 5+ years related industry experience
- Good experience in the following tech stack:
- Apache Hadoop
- Apach Spark Streaming and Batch Jobs
- HBase
- HDFS
- UC4
- Hive
- kafka
- Strong object-oriented programming skills in Java
- Very good knowledge of Core Java and should have worked on high availability, low latency platforms.
- Ability to question status quo and identify bad design/code patterns which can impact performance and maintainability of the code.
- Scripting Languages (Shell, Python, Perl) would be a plus
- Experience in the Spring framework, developing robust RESTful services would be a plus.
- Database design and optimization. (Oracle/MySQL) would be a plus.
- Excellent understanding of system design and design patterns.
- Experience with using git.
- Previous experience with the Agile methodology.
- Have very good communication skills
