Inviting applications for the role of Consultant, Microsoft Power BI Architect
Are you the one we are looking for
Responsibilities- Coordinate and support the design, development and implementation of data warehousing, reporting and analytics solutions that deliver information efficiently, with the end goal to tackle business challenges and achieve business objectives.
- Adept in developing, publishing and scheduling Power BI reports as per the business requirements. Able to properly understand the business requirements and develop data models accordingly by taking care of the resources.
- Provide oversight and expertise in Data Modelling and Database Design
- Architect and develop data models, ETL packages, OLAP cubes, and reports utilizing Power BI applying best practices to the development lifecycle
- Documentation of source-to-target mappings, data dictionaries, and database design
- Demonstrates proficiency in the development and administration of the following areas:
- Back-end data integration and architecture including dimensional data modelling, database design, data warehousing, ETL development, and performance tuning
- Front-end reporting and analytics platforms including OLAP cube design, tabular data modelling, Performance Point, Power Pivot, Power View, Power BI Report and Dashboard development
- Installation and Administration of Microsoft SQL Server
- Power BI development and report generation. Developing visual reports, dashboards and KPI scorecards using Power BI desktop.
- Perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required. Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.
- Mentoring and coaching of graduate staff.
- Seek and resolve production problems with new insights
- Regular interaction (in person, email and over phone) with business and technical partners locally and globally for status update, requirement discussions, discussion around solution/approach etc
Minimum qualifications
BE/B Tech/MCA
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred qualifications- Experience in technologies like MS BI Product Suite, Power BI, MS SQL, SSIS, SSRS
- Proficient in all stages of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), with good experience in design, analysis and development stages.
- One who is Passionate about technology, problem solving, ability to adapt new skills, sharing expertise and knowledge
- Excellent client facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations. The person should have a technical curiosity to implement new technologies and articulate the solutions to the client
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic, client-facing role where delivering proven work products to exceed high expectations is a measure of success
- Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills
