Job Description
Principal Consultant IO - Systems Administrator
Primary responsibilities
- Support end to end tracking of LCM related Provisioning and decommission activities for EOSL assets.
- Support creation of the Annual Operating Plan and targets for compute LCM activities:
- Translate LCM program to costs and capacity for compute Capex/Opex.
- Use historical data for establishing trends and find optimizations opportunities to improve processes.
- LCM Engineer will co-owns the relevant KPI s of Procurement, Quality, Marketing and Supply Chain Management working closely with other infrastructure and app support teams.
- Provide compute expertise (knowledge on HPE, Unix, Windows server products, ITIL , SNOW etc. ) for the management of Change Requests
- Define project plan, based upon Change Request, taking requirements and capacity constraints into account
- Execute LCM projects according to the plan, as agreed in the LCM governance (Quality, timing, costs)
- Ensure compliance to the described (LCM) business processes and regulatory requirements
- Ensure learnings from execution of LCM projects are embedded in HDS organization.
- Provide input to Management on project status, enabling milestone decisions and priority setting
- Take corrective actions in a proactive manner if project is not on track (escalate and solve)
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Multi-year (10+) Progressive experience in supporting enterprise ESX/Windows/Unix/Linux production environments.
- General understanding of Intel/AMD based server (HPE/DELL preferred) architecture .
- Comfortable dealing with users with varying levels of IT knowledge.
- Knowledge of business processes, experienced in developing products
- Understanding of product lifecycles / product management
- Ability to operate effectively in large, complex, matrix managed organizations
- Microsoft office (particularly Excel / Visio / PowerPoint / MS Project - as a minimum)
- Have a thorough understanding ITIL change/service management
- Technical project management experience
- Be able to produce reports in-depth and high level
- Dynamic, pro-active, self-propelling
- Ability to drive global multi-disciplinary teams
