Job Description
M, Data Science- Candidate is expected to build tools for Finance and Sales folks. The internal customers are a mix of Finance Analysts, Salespeople, as well as some Pricing Operations folks. This role requires the ability to be able to coordinate the work of others to ensure high-quality output while also contributing quality code on a project.
- Continuously write and maintain frontend and backend code
- Suggest, implement, and iterate on instilling standard methodologies for this development team
- Participate in sprint planning and development through sprints
- Work with product team on how to best track and visualize a new feature s revenue impact
- Participate in design and code reviews
- Build traditional n-tier web applications using Angular and Java
- Follow an AGILE/SCRUM process when building solutions
- Explore new technologies to bring to the team
- Bachelor s degree in related field, or equivalent work experience
- Extensive knowledge of object-oriented programming (e.g. Java, JHipster , Spring , C#)
- Extensive knowledge of JavaScript, HTML and CSS standard methodologies
- Extensive knowledge of MS SQL and Postgres
- Extensive knowledge of Angular (preferable) or one of the other modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. React, Vue.js)
- Experience in related field preferred
- Familiarity with modern JavaScript frameworks (e.g. Angular, React, Vue.js) is a plus
- Passionate about learning and trying technologies
- Experience instilling engineering standard methodologies
- Tight-knit collaboration and communication skills (both written and verbal)
- Creative problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
- Good communication skills preferred
- A good communicator who can work alongside product owners & other specialists
- Able to dissect complex information to simplify and abstract it for easier audience digestion
- A process problem solver - addresses design challenges and can clearly articulate a step-by-step approach for coming up with a solution to team members
- Able to grasp many business models, recognizing situations where invention can be pushed, and when to rigorously uphold standards
