Job Description
Assistant Manager, SQL SAS
Additional responsibilities shall include contributing in designing and documenting of the software architecture based on existing architecture and inputs received from Client from time to time. Perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required. Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement.
We are looking for a Healthcare Data Analyst to gather and analyze healthcare data from multiple sources (e.g. Medical claims and Pharmacy claim, Patient/Provider behavior) to extract trends and business insights. Good understanding on Medicare and Medicaid data. Understanding of healthcare Drug codes, diagnosis & procedures codes. Knowledge of Extract Transform and Load (ETL) frameworks using SQL and analytical tools. Knowledge of Enterprise Data Warehouse (EDW) and data management systems. Excellent analytical and communication skills. Outstanding organizational and problem-solving aptitude.
In this role the individual will be responsible working with client internal departments owner to understand the challenges and scope out the needed metrics to track performance of the business unit. Should be able to clearly capture the scope and as part of this role, He /She should be able to understand the data structure and involve in developing SQL & SAS codes to store, sort, and retrieve data and build visualization on top of it. The specific SQL & SAS needs can vary based on the organization and application, but the ability to write and optimize these codes is essential in this role. The key success of this role will be in gathering requirements and specifications from the end-users and understand how the database and its information will be used
Responsibilities
- Strong in SQL & SAS to have the needed data fetched from the data warehouse and apply needed rules and bring in the appropriate visuals to generate business insights
- Converting SAS codes to open source like R or Python on need basis.
- Developing, maintaining, and managing dashboards and other BI solutions.
- Performing and documenting data analysis, data validation, and data mapping/design.
- Reviewing and improving existing systems and collaborating with teams to integrate new systems.
- Conducting unit tests and developing database queries to analyze the effects and troubleshoot any issues.
- Ability to multitask and manage time between various projects
- Ability to use existing SAS codes and understand the metrics and build on top of it
- an efficient code that could optimize the performance and come up with suggestions and improvements.
- Fix any issues related to database performance and provide corrective measures
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor s degree or equivalent and work experience in Healthcare, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field
- Candidate must have a minimum experience in Healthcare Analytics domain
- Strong in coding SAS coding and Expertise in SQL
- Good understanding of DB structure, Queries builder
- Ability to articulate and document the needs and business understandings for end users
- Experience in Tableau/Python/R will be additional advantage.
- Good Communication Skill
- Able to nurture robust working relationships with the team, peers and clients, scheduling flexibility required
- Overall candidate should have problem solving, macro-level research and analytics approach and good in numbers.
- Good people and customer handling skills.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skill.
