Job Description
Consultant - Python developer
- In this role, you will be responsible for Application Support Operations and maintenance of multiple applications & databases, used by business units and infrastructure teams. You will function as a Support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution.
- Application Enhancement services in a Perl, Database environment during regular India hours from India location. Candidate will be working with SMEs, Business Analyst, module developers, Users and other Support functions for complete end-to-end SDLC for Capital Market Client
- Contributing in designing and documenting of the applications based on existing architecture and inputs received from Client from time to time. Perform unit testing, integration testing and UAT as and when required. Also, engage with Client in requirement gathering, Status update on work, UAT and be the key partner in the overall engagement
- Discussion with client and partners to explain the areas of improvement and remediate recommendations
- Seek, craft and resolve production problems
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications- BE/B Tech/ MCA/BCA
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and skills
- Good hands on experience on Perl/Python on Linux environment (Unix)
- Primary DB
- Secondary Python / Perl
- Good to have - Agile, Development + Support experience
- Good database background in any RDBMS
- Excellent client facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations including escalations, status reports and resolving impediments. The person should have a technical capability to fix applications, implement new technologies and articulate the solutions to the clients
- Good Understanding of ITIL Methodology & experience in working global teams in a multi-application support environment
- Ready to adapt to evolving technologies with simultaneous support to existing frameworks
- Regular India working hours with On Call weekend support and some coverage to US/UK teams
