Inviting applications for the role of Manager, Automation Engineer
The automation engineer is responsible for analyzing the test scenarios provided to ascertain feasibility of automation and then proceed with automating the flow via either the UI flow (or) via the API flow as applicable.
The automation engineer would be responsible for interacting with members of functional test team, members of engineering team for resolving queries with respect to the application flows as and when there are doubts or clarifications. The automation engineer is also expected to work with the functional test team to understand and confirm functional discrepancies and report them as defects.
Responsibilities
As a Automation Engineer, your responsibilities include
- Proficient in designing, developing, enhancing, and maintaining automation test scripts (Java)
- Ensuring proper version control and configuration management practices are applied to all automation programs.
- Identifying core product enhancements to improve the testability of products
- Effectively isolate cause of test case failures
- Working within team and across departments to identify, recommend, develop, implement and maintain quality assurance testing processes and practices;
- Continuously contributing to streamlined, more effective and efficient quality assurance testing.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Bachelors degree in computer science or related field
- Experience in Selenium Automation.
- Understanding the automated testing framework, tools, and automated test suites.
- Enhancing and maintaining automation frameworks for scalability, stability, and performance
- Hands on experience with Test Frameworks (Preferably TestNG)
- Expert knowledge of object-oriented programming language, Java is must (Or willing to work on Java)
- Expert knowledge of OOPs concept.
- Should have exposure on API, UI development and execution
- Highly self-motivated and directed.
- Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
- Experience working with version control systems (Preferably Git)
- Experience working with build tools (Preferably Maven)
- Experience working with CI tools (Preferably Bamboo)
- Exposure to Selenium Grids working is a definite bonus.
