Job Description
Technical Skills- Strong hands-on experience in IBM AS400 iSeries platform and RPGLE programming is a must
- Experienced in Integrated Language Environment (ILE)
- Experienced in creating and debugging RPGLE/CLLE/RPG400/CL400/SQLRPGLE/OPM programs
- Ability to create Sub-procedures, Subroutines and Service Programs
- Knowledge of Batch mode debugging
- Knowledge of SEU, RLU, PDM, DFU and Spool files
- Knowledge of Binding Directory, Binder Language
- Knowledge of System queue and Printer queue
- Experienced in iSeries Navigator and Integrated File System (IFS)
- Knowledge of Web Services, XML, HTML, and JavaScript will add advantage.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Insurance domain is must
- Exposure to project and product development methodology
- Demonstrated ability to respond to customers in a competent and professional manner
- Lead by example to instill the spirit of teamwork and cooperation within an organization
- Demonstrate ability to provide technical and architectural recommendations, and evolve technology to develop innovate solutions and products
- Strong technical skills which include a thorough understanding of application design, data communications, and user interface design
- Exposure to development frameworks - SDLC, Agile/SCRUM and KANBAN
- Sound problem resolution, judgment, negotiating and decision-making skills are needed.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills are required, with experience in conducting meetings, coupled with the ability to develop and provide presentations
- Any onsite experience will be an added advantage
Education & Experience
- BE/B. Tech. in any Specialization or any other equivalent education
- Minimum 4+ years in Software Development on AS400 related technologies
