Why this role matters

The role holder is responsible for the delivery of Business Analyst service to the GS DDSO Business Analyst team, as assigned through the BA resourcing process. The key focus is to deliver specific Business Analysis work to a high quality and to the required timescales, supporting the GS DDSO Team s delivery targets. The role holder will liaise with BT experts, including other Business Analysts.

 

What you'll be doing

Key Responsibilities :

  • To attend all Work Package related meetings to discuss progress and issues on assigned activities
  • To attend customer meetings by teleconference or video as required by BA Work Package Lead
  • To liaise with BT Subject Matter Experts, such as ITIL Process Architects and Operational Managers
  • To produce draft documents to the agreed standard and format, incorporating input from stakeholders as required (stakeholders will typically include BT customers, Business Analysts and BT Process Owners or PMs)
  • To ensure that all assigned work is produced to the agreed timeframes
  • To keep the India Lead BA appraised of progress and issues
  • To contribute to a weekly status update across the India BA team
  • To ensure that all outputs have been peer-reviewed before being issued (including all drafts)
  • To revise documents as required following feedback from stakeholders
  • Excellent planning, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Analyzing data using excel/analytical tools to provide meaningful insights and opportunities

Business Impact:

  • Completing Work Package deliverables on time and to quality contributes to a successful outcome for GS
  • All successfully completed activity contributes to GS revenue targets and therefore to the sustainability of the Offshore BA Team in the longer run.

Authority/Decision Making :

  • Interprets policies and executes processes within guidance provided by India Lead BA
  • Works within a clearly defined framework defined, and amended from time to time, by the DDSO BA Team
  • Responsible for significant decisions on content and format of outputs; however, India Lead BA is accountable
  • Organises and plans own work, seeking input as appropriate to meet defined deadlines and KPIs

Qualifications :

  • Graduation in any discipline from reputed university
  • ITIL V3 Foundation knowledge and certification desired

Skills/Experience :

  • 6 - 8 years relevant experience with major telecom players
  • Good Stakeholder Management skills
  • Excellent communication skills written & verbal English
  • Tenacious and tough used to delivering to tight deadlines and high quality
  • Good interpersonal relationship skills
  • Excellent Ms Office Tools skills - MS Excel, MS Word, knowledge of analytical tools will be an added advantage
  • Relevant BA experience such as Process Design, Process Improvement or Requirements Management (desirable)
  • ITIL knowledge or foundation exam cert (desirable)
