Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant, L2 Network Security Engineer
Looking for someone with key proficiencies. Network Security Operations, Network design, implementation, and execution, Strong problem solving skills, Working experience with MSPs.
Roles and ResponsibilitiesLooking for are engineers working with network security solutions and interacting with stakeholders. Not into operations but security engineers who understand risk-based decision making.
Analyst will work closely with network engineers and system administrators to ensure mitigation of all activity detected. In addition, analysts must assist in the evaluation, research and development of computer and network security tools.
Should have a robust background in network security, configuration, maintenance, troubleshooting and monitoring.
Perform key maintenance, improvement and project testing activities and tasks. Identifying requirements and use cases for test case creation and documentation, functional testing, and release support.
Help support the network security operational activities performed by MSPs and MSSPs
Deliver technical and operational support for the Next Generation firewalls .
Provide planning and review of system and network designs to ensure compliance with company security policies and security standard methodologies
Enable the team in sorting out questions and challenges by engaging Client to seek timely transparency on behalf of the team
Review all of the clients Firewall rules, provide recommendations on changes, detail the process and drive the changes.
Support engineering, implementation and ongoing support of new client agents for the data protection and/or security software.
Work closely with all IT functional areas to craft and implement operational requirements for new and existing IT systems.
Qualifications we seek in you Minimum Qualifications- Minimum of a Bachelors degree in related field Preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
- Prefer candidates with CCNP Security, CCNP Routing & Switching experience
- Level two experience handling and operating Cisco ASA appliances, IDS/IPS products, web proxies, Cisco ISE or comparable products, and NGFW infrastructure in a large distributed network preferred.
- Must have hands-on experience with Network, Security and VPN services
- Broad overall security infrastructure background with proven experience in technology, methodology, products and services.
Preferred qualifications In addition to above
- LAN, WAN, VPN, NGFW equipment, protocols and platforms.
- Competency in server systems and OSes.
- Windows debugging/troubleshooting toolset (e.g. Procmon, Process, Auto runs, WinDbg, NetMon/MMA/Wireshark).
- Proficiency in at least one scripting or declarative languages (e.g. PowerShell, VB, Bash, SQL, regex, etc.)
