Inviting applications for the role of Associate Mainframe Developer
In this role, candidate will be working as Mainframe developer.
Responsibilities
- Create technical design from functional specifications
- Do impact analysis for given functional / technical design
- Create High level and low level design / estimation
- Capability for Coding/Unit and Integration /system testing
- Ability to do code reviews and create test plan
- Good communication skills & client interaction experience would be a plus.
- Banking or Insurance domain knowledge would be helpful.
- Ability to dive into existing application code base to resolve functionality
- Effectively communicate with project managers, business analysts and Tech Leads
- Utilize the latest tools to execute all steps of SDLC stages.
- Required to work in a complex and dynamic environment
- Adhere to standard coding practices and deliver defect free product
- Plan and conduct successful unit, performance, system, integration and acceptance testing, ensuring applications are able to meet stringent functional and non-functional requirements
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- You have Bachelor s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering with equivalent experience.
Preferred qualifications
- You have understanding mainframe technologies, RDBMS, SQL etc.
- You have any IT certifications.
- You have knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle
- You have strong communication skills oral and written.
- Good analytical, problem solving and decision-making skills
- You are diligent and dedicated team player with good interpersonal skills and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to analyze business problems and devise effective IT solutions.
- Practical software development experience with a best-practices mind-set
- Good incident diagnosing skills/Incident management
- Be able to work in global teams and adapt to an agile environment.
- Previous experience in handling Front Office, Middle office and/or Back office Book-of-Work & as well as production support including business user communications is helpful
