Job Description
- Managing a local team of Software Development, testing, operations, and customer services to support the Traveltek application suite, including components such as booking engines, back office, CRM systems and web applications, conforming to the Companys software development lifecycle.
- Oversee the general operations of the Traveltek technology team in Hyderabad.
- Setting attainable goals for team members to complete work efficiently and to maintain a good level of productivity.
- Give coaching and guidance, utilising your knowledge of software and associated software tools within our tools and products.
- Ensuring the right oversight, mentoring, and training is in place to grow the teams technical, interpersonal and communications skills.
- Ensuring that staff undertake work and comply with Company quality management standards and procedures.
- Participating in design control activities; monitoring, evaluating, and ensuring the completion of teams tasks and projects
- Representing the team in meetings
- Striving for continuous improvement within the team.
The Ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate knowledge and or experience of:
- Demonstrated experience of managing teams in a Software Development environment
- Minimum 5 years of professional software development experience following a recognised development methodology.
- Perl experience preferred.
- Other languages, such as Java, Python, JavaScript ES5/6, Node.js, SQL
- TDD and unit testing frameworks.
- CI/CD processes and tooling.
- Linux, with MySQL and SVN and/or Git.
- Good attention to detail.
- Good written and verbal communication.
- Great organisation and time management skills.
