Inviting applications for the role of Consultant Data Protection Engineer
Data Protection and Application Security organisation within GCIO ESS is responsible for the design and delivery of the key technical capabilities, products and services related to information security. This includes public key infrastructure, data leakage prevention, information rights management, application security. We operate in 3 locations now: UK, Switzerland, Poland providing products and client services globally, and we are starting to build our team in Pune, India in order to provide commoditized services to our internal customers globally.
Successful candidate works across the above product and service areas, supporting the banks key strategic security programs. The role involves working with architects, engineers, business analyst and service designers with main focus on the creation of high and detailed level designs, product certification and integration into the bank s core platforms and eco-systems.

Primary responsibilities
The focus for Cloud Security is to enhance and standardize Cloud and Security solution by deploying the latest Cloud security services and security solutions including Secrets Management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Working Experience with Windows and/or Linux on a System Administrator level (incl. Scripting)
- Experience with software packaging and versioning systems (e.g. GIT)
- Experience in systems operation and engineering or an equivalent role
- Knowledge of integrating Unix/Linux based applciations with availabilty monitoring systems, audit log collection systems (e.g Splunk, syslog), and IAM systems (e.g. LDAP, Centrify, etc )
- Troubleshooting issues that may arise from performance issues, system errors and network traffic issues, manage incidents until closure.
- Ability in finding long-term IT solutions even if you are under pressure due to an IT incident
- Performing system maintenance and maintain current documentation.
- Continuous configuration and tuning of DLP systems, policies and response rules.
- Implementing applications to ensure that Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Graduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or related subject; alternatively an equivalent education in one of these topics
- Experience in working in international environments or working abroad, preferably in financial industry
- Fluent written and spoken English.
Qualifications
Minimum qualifications
- Good Communication in English.
- Good analytical & reasoning skills.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience in building/running onboarding services for users migrating to the new IT solutions
- Experience in Troubleshooting application issues on Windows systems
- Clear understanding of information security (especially: Data Protection in transit/at rest, Data classification, IRM, DLP) both on-prem and in cloud is essential, a depth and breadth of supporting technical knowledge or specialisms is advantageous

- Familiarity with technologies: SSH, SNMP, SMTP, HSMs, PKI, Syslog.
- Practical experience in AGILE (including toolchain: Jira, Odyssey)
