The Job
You will be responsible for :
- Manual testing of web and windows based applications, web services testing and integration testing of a complex system.
- Understanding the requirements and transforming them into Test Cases and ET Charters.
- Creating test plans based on product requirements, specifications, and on the fly discussions.
- Performing various types of testing like sanity, functional, exploratory, integration and system testing to ensure delivery of high-quality products.
- Following the organisation defined processes and ensuring the required documentation are created and maintained.
- Automating QA testing to improve speed and coverage using C# and SQL.
- Testing cloud service platform, mobile iOS and Android applications as well as IoT device protocols (TCP, UDP, IP, MQTT and WTP).
- Working with customer service and IT to address escalation issues, bugs, and support requests.
- Managing, installing, maintaining QA environments in IaaS and PaaS
- Escalating and following-up in a timely manner about all blocking issues and any deviations from SOP s.
- Supporting the planning of test schedules in accordance with project scope/delivery dates and ensuring that the timelines are adhered to without fail.
- Participating in user story reviews to provide input on functional requirements, acceptance criteria, schedules, or potential problems.
- Effectively share knowledge and staying aware of current trends and technical advancements.
The Profile
- You have at least a degree in Computer Science, Engineering or similar role.
- You have at least 3 years of experience in a Quality Assurance/Testing role, with solid understanding of software testing methodologies.
- You have strong expertise in C# programming and testing web services like SOAP, REST.
- You have hands-on experience in Services testing tools like Fiddler, Postman, JSON Lint.
- Experience in using CI tools like TFS, SVN, etc. and test management tools like TFS, MTM, ALM, etc. is required
- You have strong Database and SQL skills with the ability to write medium complex join queries to validate the data in the Database.
- You have exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.
- Prior experience in testing LIMS would be an added advantage.
- You are at ease with remote communications leveraging a wide array of technologies (Eg. shared code, documents and forums, phone, chat, email, etc.).
- You have basic knowledge of NET Framework, Windows, IIS ,Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Android Studio.
- You have knowledge of Angular, Typescript, ASP.NET Core, ASP.NET MVC, Web API, MSMQ, WCF.
- You have exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills.
- You are a good team player with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- You are able to work in large distributed local and international teams.
