Job Description
This job is with our client Morgan Stanley
Location: Bangalore
Experience: 3+ yrs
Notice Period: Immediate/15 days/currently serving notice period/60 days
Job Responsibilities
- Work closely with development architects, clients, and business analysts to build efficient solutions leveraging the appropriate technology stack
- Develop web applications and components based on a Java/Angular technology stack
- Must be self-driven dedicated individual with strong designing and coding skills
- Ensure a consistent and fast deployment pipeline
- Create tooling to improve developer experience
- Work closely with application teams to understand their needs to improve our systems
- Be in sync with the tools and processes available firmwide
Skills
Required technical Skills
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or related field required
- At least 3+ years of hands-on web application development.
- Java Web Development (Servlet/JSP), Spring Framework, JavaScript, Angular 7/8, CSS, RESTful WebServices
- A very strong communicator with the ability to interface directly with clients and analysts to ensure technical requirements and delivery align with expectations
- A Experience in the development of service oriented architecture application, good understanding of Object Oriented Design and Design Patterns
- Experience with MVC patterned applications using JavaScript frameworks and working with front end development teams, preferably in Angular
- Strong analytical and design skills, including the ability to understand business requirements and translate them into efficient and effective technical designs that work well within large-scale, well-structured enterprise environments
- Excellent troubleshooting skills, with the ability to quickly identify and document the root cause of issues, and effectively communicate possible resolutions
- Must be comfortable in working in unix environment and have experience with web servers such as Apache and Tomcat
- Effective communication, presentation, and collaboration skills
- Can work independently effectively
Desired Technical Skills:
- Good RDBMS knowledge (preferably DB2/Sybase/MSSQL/PostgreSQL)
- Knowledge of Python/GIT/Jenkins
- Knowledge of Sonar, Cobertura, Fortify and other standard code coverage/testing tools
- Knowledge of automation testing using tools such as: Junit/Mockito, Maven/Gradle
- DevOps and Cloud experience
- Experience in BDD
- Monitoring tools like AppDynamics, Splunk and Jprofiler
- strong understanding of Agile/Scrum and ability to deliver solutions under this methodology.
