Job Description
GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We re looking for a data engineer to help expand our existing platforms and develop new features and products. Our small, fast-paced teams are responsible for creating innovative software that enhances the experiences of both our internal and external clients. We build apps that enable the application of the tools of modern data science to commercial real estate in order to analyze and forecast market fundamentals across geographies and property types. These forecasts provide insight as clients evaluate the risks and opportunities that market changes may represent for their investment portfolios. Ideal Candidate : Experience : 6-12 years
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES
- As part of a 5-9 person scrum team, develop, maintain, and upgrade presentation, data-access, and/or database application tiers for client-facing web applications according to design and/or functional specification.
- Environments: MS SQL Server, C#/.NET Framework, Azure DevOps, Azure PaaS, AWS
- Technologies: T-SQL, ADO.NET, Entity Framework, Web API, XML, JSON, ASP.NET, JavaScript, Angular, Sass
- Create and maintain data pipelines, ensure their robust and reliable functioning, advance their maturity, integrate additional sources, migrate on-prem processes to the cloud, and help transform data systems engineering strategy.
- Environments: MS SQL Server, PostgreSQL, Azure, Azure DevOps, AWS
- Technologies: T-SQL, C#/.NET Framework, Python, cloud frameworks
- Implement and maintain unit tests for new codebases and contribute to the maturation of DevOps processes.
- Technologies: XUnit, C#/.NET Framework, JavaScript, Azure DevOps, SonarQube
TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS
- JavaScript / Angular / HTML / Sass
- C# / ASP.NET / Web API / WCF
- Entity Framework / ORM
- Structured Query Language / T-SQL
- Relational database design dexterity
- Data structures expertise
- Software design pattern fluency
- Algorithm analysis and design
- Software architecture modular development
- Experience with SQL Server geo-spatial techniques a plus
