Roles and Responsibilities

• Guiding and developing the Structure Mechanics team to accomplish main boiler/heater block structure design, auxiliary structures, piping stress analysis including supports.
• Lead standardization and process improvements
• Judicious in critical review of designs.
• Establish outsourcing methodology of Engineering activities to meet the project schedule.
• Focus on Right First Time and Optimum design.
• Planning, resource allocation.
• Training & developing the team including succession planning.
• Developing and nurturing the Knowledge Management System.
• Keeping abreast of the latest software, techniques in design.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Candidate must be proficient in Staad.Pro & desirable to have knowledge of CAESAR or any other piping stress analysis software package. Working knowledge of SAP 2000 / ANSYS software is an added advantage.
• Candidate must have worked in IS & AISC codes of design.
• Candidate must be familiar with working on Technological structures and must have proficiency in the application of static & dynamic loads, wind load, seismic load, pressure & temperature loads.
• Candidate must possess knowledge of structural material codes and grades of IS, ASTM & EN steel.
• Exposure to Tekla detailing package and civil foundation design is desirable.
