Job Description
To get oriented to the ward routines, equipment and type of patients.%26middot;Prepare nursing care plans and render effective bedside nursing care including Sponge bath, back care, Hair care etc.%26middot;To co-ordinate with Ward secretaries / Billing assistants regarding admissions, discharges and billing activities of the patients.%26middot;To assist the doctors in special procedures, dressings and rounds.%26middot;To ensure diet and investigation slips are raised.%26middot;Maintain personal, patients and environmental hygiene.%26middot;To check and record vital signs legibly and promptly.%26middot;To be aware and implement accordingly all protocols in the unit as hand washing, infection control, Patient safety, Patient education etc.%26middot;To handle with care and with knowledge all gadgets used in patient care in the wards.%26middot;To handle waste segregation and disposal as per the policy.%26middot;To follow strictly all safety measures involved in patient care and self-protection.%26middot;To perform IPSG whenever required as per the policy.%26middot;To maintain a cordial inter personal relationship within the unit and with support departments.%26middot;Attend in-service programs and trainings to enhance knowledge.%26middot;To ensure strict discipline and decorum at all times.%26middot;To ensure that the patient is comfortable and implement safety measures for vulnerable patients as per the policy.%26middot;To perform patient and family education.%26middot;To take over and handover properly at change of shifts.%26middot;To be aware of the patient rights and preserve the same.%26middot;To avoid any violation of confidentiality of information e.g. no discussion of patient identifiable information in public areas.
%26middot;To be aware of the JCI standards and implement the same.%26middot;To Assist in Feeding of Patient%26middot;To assist the patient for their toilet needs.
%26middot;To participate in all the quality improvement activities of the hospital
%26middot;To Assist in shifting and transporting of patients
To check vital signs of patients and reports to abnormalities to the treating Doctor
