Job Description


Role Proficiency:
Execute test scenarios with minimal supervision.
Outcomes:
  1. Construct and execute systematic test cases by referring to test scenarios for embedded systems based on test specifications or requirements
  2. Set up the relevant embedded hardware for testing
  3. Adherence to project quality processes as per the business demands
  4. Document test results and report defects

Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Number of test cases/script developed in comparison to the benchmarks
  2. Number of test cases/script executed in comparison to the benchmarks
  3. Number of valid defects
  4. Adherence to documentation and test results
  5. Adherence to project timelines

Outputs Expected:
Requirements:
  1. Understand the requirement and write the test specification; execute the tests

Test Design
Development
Execution:
  1. Flash the SW and setup the HW Clusters information into embedded systems
  2. Identify and create test cases and test data
  3. Conduct sanity testing for system readiness check
  4. Execute test cases and scripts
  5. Identify log and track defects
  6. Log productivity data

Debug:
  1. Debug the embedded system and software functions

Manage Defects:
  1. Raise defects retest with the BKMs (Best Known Methods) and update the defects

Status Reporting:
  1. Report status of assigned tasks on daily basis. Comply with project related reporting standards/process

Document:
  1. Document the results and BKMs. Create learning and training documents

Skill Examples:
  1. Ability to review requirements to identify ambiguities
  2. Ability to design test cases. scripts and requirements
  3. Ability to apply techniques to design efficient test cases and scripts
  4. Ability to set up the hardware and execute tests
  5. Ability to measure the quality of testing through checklist
  6. Able to use Lauterbach Multi meter for debugging purpose
