Job Description
- Maintains bedside cleanliness and personal hygiene of patient.
- Arrange the articles for procedure and maintains the same.
- Taking and recording of vital signs.
- Responsible for basic bedside nursing care.
- Maintenance of patient care records.
- Maintenance of rubber goods used in patient care.Collects specimens for 24 hours lab, 4-hrly-urine test in the wards for diabetic patients.
- Meets the elimination needs of the patient.
- Checks the height, weight on admission, daily and weekly as per Doctors instructions along with ward boys / ward girls.
- Prepares the patient for minor surgeries.
- Meets nutritional needs of the patients.
- Care of antenatal and post natal mothers.
- Care of normal neonates and maintenance of nurseries.
- Participates and contributes to departmental quality initiatives.
- To be aware of departments performance and objective.
- Carries out data collection/supports in data collection.
- To perform any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.
- Adheres to the hospital policies.
- Participates in the hospital quality improvement program.
- Maintains confidentiality of patients information.
- Works in accordance with the JCIA standards.
- Works collaboratively and support efforts of team members.
- Follows strict infection control protocols and takes responsibility in ensuring quality control related to quality monitors
- Demonstrates exceptional customer service and interact effectively with physicians, patients, visitors, staff and the broader health care community
- Possesses BLS certification.
- Adheres to the safety norms of hospital, follow both patient, and staff safety rules.
- Ensures all the employees are trained/oriented about the quality systems of the department.
- Performs any job / task as and when assigned by the superior.
