Job Description
Join the Life Sciences Engineering team, India as Engineering ManagerLead and execute the Instrument development, Value Engineering & Product care programs for Life Sciences. Responsibility includes people management, applications support and development for all the Global and India NPIs (Instruments and Consumables), verification and validation efforts at part and act as a single point of contact for all Life Sciences applications related activities.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Ph.D. / Masters in Biochemistry, Biotechnology or related fields.
A minimum of 10-15 years industrial experience in leading multi skilled teams involving application development & Engineering for various Lifesciences products. Providing NPI support in terms of System level functionality evaluation and validation. Developing Applications for the NPIs. Proven track record of driving milestone closures on projects.
Proven expertise in understanding the entire product development process involving ISO & regulatory requirements.
In-depth understanding of various Lifesciences instruments to drive novel product concepts on instruments and consumables).
Exposure to working in global environment with cross functional teams.
Good understanding of quality and reliability testing at a system level
Experience in design documentation to comply with ISO and European standards
Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, serviceability, and delivery targets
Ability to work in a global matrix leadership environment
Proven ability of conflict resolution among cross functional teams in a matrix environment
Good influencing skills
Demonstrated interpersonal and leadership skills. Must be a self-starter
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven ability to drive Product roadmap & Technology roadmap especially in the Filtration & Bioreactor areas
Desired Characteristics:
Experience of working with Chromatography, Electrophoresis, Biacore, Filtration systems and Cell technology products.
Six Sigma DFSS trained and certified
