Job Description
Consultant, DevOps
We are looking for Consultant DevOps Team Member to work with application teams to help accelerate their DevOps adoption.
Responsibilities- Experience with Azure DevOps, suite of related tools that allows software teams to track work, manage code, run builds, deploy applications, and manage tests.
- Experience with Azure Pipelines, as a language, platform and cloud agnostic CI/CD platform with support for containers or Kubernetes.
- Mentoring/growing skills of individuals/align them to the skills required by squads
- Core/Angular/AzureSQL/CosmosDB/WCNP to Microservice based containerised modelDevelop local office culture/provide mentorship to operate effectively in a globally distributed Firm
- Work within one or more project teams to drive tool adoption and set up continuous integration, delivery, testing, and deployment capabilities.
- Embed Quality, Security, Reliability engineers within Agile teams
- Embed additional DevOps practitioners in teams for a specific time-period with specific outcomes (use of a tool, help to get a practice adopted, etc.)
- Strong design and architecture skills, e.g. configuration schema design, process re-engineering and automation.
- Strong experience with core ITIL subject areas covering release, change and configuration management
- An automation/orchestration mind-set, enable the product squads to spend more time coding and less time on manual processes
- Ability to quickly learn and understand proprietary technologies in a complex, regulated environment
- Strong desire to partner with product squads in a consulting capacity to help them adopt tools and processes
- A level of Technology security experience, ultimately this is role is within a security team
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum Qualifications- BTech in Computer Science/MCA
- Experience with Jira and Jira Service Desk
- Experience in SQL, Python, or Looker
- Experience with applications based on monolithic structure and required to modernize into a microservices architecture.
- Knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with C, UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols. Block, file and object storage protocols.
- Experience working in a large, multinational enterprise in any industry vertical, showing experience of communicating and collaborating in globally distributed teams.
- Operational and Engineering experience managing applications/services in an enterprise environment
- Development experience using scripting language (e.g. Python) at an OO level
- Experience in Linux usage and management
- Experience in process and workflow development and documentation
- Experience/knowledge of DevOPs methodologies, tools and processes
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills coupled with a collaborative approach
- Good Interpersonal skills.
- Excellent customer facing skills that include conducting compelling technical briefing & demonstrations including issues, status reports and resolving impediments.
