Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant- Operations Support
In this role, you will be responsible for Application Support Operations and maintenance of multiple applications & databases, used by business units and infrastructure teams. You will function as a Support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution.
Responsibilities:
- Will Participate in some or all activities in SDLC
- Independently propose and implement strategic/tactical solutions to critical business/technical problems/ Improvement
- Maintain responsibility for analysis of Incident Tickets & Resolution, contribute to Continual Service Improvement Programs
- Discussion with client and partners to explain the areas of improvement and remediate recommendations
- Onshore and offshore discussion with client point of contacts to review quality of deliverables, work papers, audit/ assessment reports
- Seek, craft and resolve production problems
- Regular interaction (in person, email and over phone) with business and technical partners locally and globally for status update, requirement discussions, discussions about solution/approach etc
- Build, release and configuration management
- System troubleshooting and problem solving across platform and application domains
- Suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements
- Evaluate new technology options and vendor products
- Analysis and discovery of application configuration, including infrastructure and run time across client engagements
- Establish a dialogue with the partners to achieve trusted technical adviser status
- See opportunities and communicate them to PM and/or Technical Lead
- Identify potential issues preventing the successful delivery of services or solutions and inform the Project Coordinator appropriately
- Establish POCs to validate the client solutions
Qualifications we seek in you
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech/M Tech/MCA/BCA
- Must possess excellent written and verbal communication and skills
Preferred qualifications:
- Candidate should have Exp in ITIL Aligned Service Operations
- Hands on experience in Java, Portlets, Spring MVC, Spring-Boot, Ant, Gradle, WebSphere, Angular, React JS, jQuery/JavaScript, Bootstrap, Dockers, Agile/TechOps
- Good understanding of SDLC lifecycle
- Shifts: Rotational Shift 24*7 model
- Ability to be learn and apply new processes and tools
- Real-time multi-threaded application development
- Organized, results focused, practical
- Self-motivated to work both independently as well as part of a team
- Excellent teammate sound collaborator with a collective attitude
- Innovative and willing to give new insights
- Problem management, Incident Management and analytical capabilities
- Attention to detail, with ability to produce clear, concise documentation
- Self-driven and able to work on own initiative
- Professional image with well-developed time management skills, and the ability to work to tight deadlines, whilst multi-tasking
- Flexible with respect to working hours, according to operational requirements and priorities
- Problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to exercise mature judgment
