Inviting applications for the role of Lead Consultant- Release Manager
In this role, you will work as a release manager. To support Engineer using Agile Methodology and should have an end to end understanding of business use cases, to transform them into an effective and strategic solution. Work with business people to have a real time problem and, craft the solution which really fits into client needs.
Responsibilities- Review release notes and align with ITAO and QA lead on potential regression impact
- Prepare installation package based on the new release binaries and environment specific configuration files
- Backup current non-PROD version/environment
- Install new non-PROD environment from the prepared installation package
- Sync data between environments (if from PROD to non-PROD then with anonymization/obfuscation)
- Coordination with QA on regression and non-regression testing
- Coordinate with infrastructure team environment provisioning/maintenance/migration
- Based on testing results in non-PROD environment - promote the package for PROD deployment
- Seek and resolve production problems with new ideas
- Regular interaction (in person, email and over phone) with business and technical partners locally and globally for status update, requirement discussions, discussion around solution/approach etc
Minimum qualifications
- BE/B Tech/M Tech/MCA/BCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Preferred BS in Information Technology, Computer Science, Telecommunications or related Engineering degree
- Scripting - Windows Shell / PowerShell, Unix Shell, Python
- Experience on Docker, SQL
- Windows/Linux administration basics(services/users/etc)
- Databases (Oracle/MSSQL) basics
