ResponsibilitiesBasic Telecommunications Knowledge, Basic Telecommunications Understanding, Functional, Independence, Attention to Detail, Verbal Communication, Documentation Skills,
Knowledge on Cable Types and identifying them.
Identifying the type of Phones (analog, digital, IP phones etc )
Knowledge on installation of the various types of phones.
Knowledge of VC room testing.Identifying various telecommunication equipment s and their functionality.
Knowledge on Tools, test equipment, practices, and methods used in installing analog and digital telephone and signaling equipment.
Incumbents at this level will perform the basic analog and digital telephone equipment installation, cable installation and maintenance, initially under the close supervision of an experienced technician and are expected to progress require less supervision. Incumbents assist Level II technicians and learn to install, modify and repair telecommunications network systems and equipment.
Maintains current telephone line terminations records and prepares written work reports.
Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a field.
Installs, tests, maintains, and repairs key telephone systems.
Knowledge on Crimping cables related to telecom.
interconnection of electronic telephone equipment, including cabling standards, terminations, and testing.
Establishes voice and data networks by running, pulling, terminating, and splicing cables; installing telecommunications equipment, switches, multiplexors, cable trays etc
Verifies service by testing circuits, equipment, identifying, correcting, or escalating problems.
Documents network by labeling and routing equipment and cables; recording configuration diagrams and specifications.
Maintains network by troubleshooting and repairing outages; testing network back-up procedures; updating documentation.
Maintains customer rapport by listening to and resolving concerns; answering questions.
Maintains safe work environment by following codes, standards, and legal regulations.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.
Enhances department and organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments
