Job Description


Role Proficiency:
Develop applications in assigned area of responsibility on ERP/CRM systems under regular supervision of a senior developer
Outcomes:
  1. Work with project team to develop unit test and document small and medium complex level programs as needed for the projects
  2. Develop unit test use cases required by the project
  3. Understand the application/feature/component design and develop the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.
  4. Code debug test and document; communicate product/component/feature development stages.
  5. Effectively interact with customers and articulate their inputs
  6. Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models
  7. Follows the best practises set by the project requirements.
  8. Learn technology business domain system domain individually and as recommended by the project/account
  9. Perform other duties as assigned or requested

Measures of Outcomes:
  1. Completion of applicable technical/domain certifications
  2. Adherence to coding standards set by ERP/CRM Practice.
  3. Set goals in NorthStar and timely measure the progress and update accordingly.
  4. Follow up with reporting manager to complete feedback check-in process before due date.
  5. Completion of all mandatory training requirements t/technology/industry specific trainings UST mandatory trainings)
  6. Reduction of reoccurrence of known defects
  7. Quick turnaround of production bugs
  8. Number of post delivery defects
  9. Adherence to schedule and timelines
  10. Adhere to SLAs where applicable (if supporting)

Outputs Expected:
Requirement:
  1. Understand the requirements/user stories

Estimate:
  1. Estimate time effort and resource dependence for one's own work
  2. Follow scrum ceremonies.

Design:
  1. Understand the design/LLD and link it to requirements/user stories

Configuration and Coding:
  1. Learn coding standards and practices them in development. Develop code with guidance for the above

Test:
  1. Create and conduct unit testing.
  2. Test class coverage above 90%.

Code Review :
  1. Participate in code reviews with Tech Lead

Manage Defects:
  1. Fix defects and document root cause analysis.

Document:
  1. Create documentation for one's own work

Status Reporting:
  1. Report status of tasks assigned
  2. Comply to project related reporting standards and process

Manage knowledge:
  1. Consume and contribute project related documents share point libraries client universities

Release:
  1. Adhere to release management process

Domain relevance:
  1. Develop feature / component with good understanding of the business problem being addressed for the client

Skill Examples:
  1. Ability to debug and do RCA for any defects reported by testing team.
  2. Explain and communicate the design / development to the customer
  3. Perform and evaluate test results against product specifications
  4. Develop user interfaces business software components and embedded software components
  5. Manage and guarantee high levels of cohesion and quality
  6. Estimate effort time required for own work
  7. Perform and evaluate test in the customer or target environment
  8. Work in a team environment
  9. Good written and verbal communication abilities
  10. Proactively ask for and offer help
  11. A quick learner who can adapt to learning new technologies relevant to ERP/CRM.
  12. Experience in researching production system issues
  13. Ability to work closely with client to convert production issues to solutions and suggest options
  14. Ability to advise on best practices and approaches to the team and the client
  15. Experience in creating and maintaining configuration stepslike sandbox refresh activities.
  16. Ability to prepare test data and steps for unit integration and production testingas per project needs.
  17. Strong and effective written and verbal communication skills

  2. Thorough knowledge of coding best practices and understanding the limitations of coding.
