Job Description
Location - Bangalore
Role - Full Time / Permanent
Experience - 3 to 6 Years
Notice Period - Immediate to 30 Days
Shift - 24/7
Good Communications is mandatory
Oracle L2 :
1)Monitoring and solving incident tickets, change requests and service calls in 24/7 environment, adhering to SLAs.
2)Monitoring database servers Health Checks and tuning accordingly, Daily health checks.
3)Restore/Refresh databases from production to testdev upon client requests.
4)Managing and Troubleshooting scheduled Jobs, configuring database backups, Rebuilding and reorganizing the indexes on daily basis.
5)Creating new logins as per the request from application team, Providing Security administration including managing role and user database permissions in accordance with Client policies.
6)Troubleshooting Performance Problems in Oracle such as CPU utilization, Memory, I/O, Temp tablespace, Slow running queries, blockings and deadlocks.
7)Solving issues related to Operating System, coordinating with Operations team.
8)Creating new databases for specific business needs and configuring as requested.
9)New installations of Oracle versions as per the project requirement, preparing build documentation for new servers.
10)Preparing KT for new devices, mitigating any potential risks as a project work and getting sign-off to support.
11)Backup / Recovery and Performance Tuning: Has designed and implemented various backup and recovery strategies on heterogeneous environments. Can recover the database with no or minimal data loss. Can independently tune databases to extract best performance including memory, OS and SQL tuning. Can also groom peers. Will be able to analyze the statistics report and rectify the bottlenecks efficiently with a minimum downtime.
12)Implement High Availability options like Server Cluster with support team or Oracle Clusters (RAC).
Implement the best storage methods for RAC from ASM/OCFS2/ACFS/NFS.
13)Plan and configure for database migrations across platforms including but not limited to using logical backups/transportable tablespaces.
14)Perform adhoc database cloning and refreshes for Full or partial databases.
15)Implement quarterly released CPU/PSU/SPU patches for Standalone/HA databases and co-ordinate with Oracle for any bugfixes.
16)Install, configure Oracle database software and build new Databases as per Customer/Vendor requirement
17)Experience in DR Drill with exposure to various restore/recovery methods
