Job Description
We are looking for " Transport Manager
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Monitoring and planning daily pickup operations across the city within defined SLA
- Maintaining good rapport with sellers and be the first point of contact for resolution around seller pickup issues
- Understanding city level pickup operations and implement new processes around pickup to optimize performance
- To work closely with Hub & WH team to settle any disputes arising due to stock mismatches during pickups
- Ensuring payments and debits are raised on a timely basis to driver partners and ensuring motivation and harmony among driver partners.
- Plan, manage and evaluate logistics operations liaising with internal stakeholders, suppliers, logistics providers, transportation companies and customers
- Create and implement best practice logistics principles, policies and processes across the organization to improve operational and financial performance
- Deliver solutions to logistics problems while maintaining high levels of quality and service within budget
- Monitor quality, quantity, delivery times, and transport costs
- Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation and logistics providers
- Recommend optimal transport modes, routes or frequency
- Ensure carrier compliance with company policies or procedures for product transit or delivery
- Resolve problems concerning transportation, logistics systems
- Review impact of logistics changes, such as routing, shipping modes, product volumes or carriers and report results
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and identify inefficiencies and cost optimization opportunities
- Ensure the integrity of inventory accuracy and manage stock movements with the help of direct reports
- Identify savings by removing waste or unnecessary steps in the logistics process
- Ensure metrics, reports, and process documentation is available
Preferred Qualifications:
- Graduate from any stream
- Prior experience in managing Logistics & Transportation
- Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills
- Basic analytical skills
- Strong influencing skills and people management skills
