Lead - Vmware, Esx, Vsphere - Bangalore / Pune @ GSN Consulting

A high-level VMware Administrator to manage a VMware, Windows & Citrix environment. The ideal candidate will have strong overall infrastructure EXP with extensive VMware and Windows skills

• Should have hands on EXP on VMware infrastructure administration such as, Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of ESX 5.x, 6.x & 7.x version
• Strong hands-on EXP with vSphere systems administration and support including VMotion, HA, DRS, VDS, Affinity rules, vCenter, storage migrations, and P2V migrations
• Strong hands-on EXP with vSphere problem determination, capacity planning and root cause analysis.
• Strong hands-on EXP with vSphere Thin Provisioning, Resource Pools, Host Profiles, and 3rd party plug-ins
• Strong hands-on EXP with vSphere Standard and Distributed Switches
• EXP with running administrative reports in VMware
• Create and Maintain SOPs and train junior staff as necessary
• Responsible for the health of the production server infrastructure
• Provide 24X7 support as needed
• EXP with running administrative reports in using vRealize Operation Manager.
• Should have hands on EXP on administration such as, Installation, configuration and troubleshooting of Nutanix and other Cloud
• VMware guest and host Patch management
• Monitoring of VMware Host and guest for performance and availability
• Analytical skills Wintel & VMware administrators need to be highly analytical and able to examine error logs, system performance data, and user information to ensure a high level of usability and reliability
• Server administration one of the most important qualifications for a Wintel & VMware administrator is a background in Windows and ESXi server setup, deployment, and maintenance
• Problem-solving skills while installing, configuringand maintaining Windows & ESXi systems and servers, administrators often need to employ creative and technical problem-solving skills to resolve issues or devise a new solution
• Information security because they oversee system-wide security and performance, Wintel & VMware administrators also need to be familiar with best practices and techniques to maintain and enhance information security
• Programming and coding a background in coding and writing programs is vital in this role. Wintel & VMware administrators frequently need to work directly with a systems source code and develop solutions to improve system-wide performance
