Job Description
Roles and Responsibilities
Hello CandidateJob Description:
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Responsible for P2P - Procure to Pay cycle.
- Ensure un-interrupted material flow for all the goods.
- Responsible for negotiations with suppliers for price, terms and contract conditions.
- Contracting for service contracts like AMC
- Co-ordination with all other functions for material needs and its fulfillment.
- Responsible for entire functions related to Stores- Receive-Issue, Stock update, re-order level.
- Ensure Communication relevant to Environment, Health and Safety, Legal, Group requirements and SOP requirements to suppliers / contractors, as part of Purchase Order / Contract Document, including identified significant Environmental aspects of goods and services used.
- Ensure training and competence of personnel including training on functional skills, including training of EHS, QMS and EMS to those whose work significantly impact Quality, Safety on Environment.
- Ensure that the requirements of Integrated Management System related to own area of work is implemented.
- Processing the purchase requisition received from various function.
- Floating RFQ to vendors & sending for TBS to user function.
- Negotiation with vendors & preparing CBT
- Processing order in SAP
- Follow up to received material on time & arranging inspection from user functions
- Receipt of material in SAP & processing invoice for further payment to vendors
- Handling the project related purchases
- Tracking the purchase orders in SAP
- Managing inventory of engineering stores
- Identifies & Research potential new suppliers.
- Review & Negotiate existing agreements to optimise commercial terms.
- Maintain the high ethical practices in Purchasing.
- Lead and maintain timely and cost-effective process of purchasing and stores management.
Special Factors
- Knowledge of Indirect taxation- GST, Customs duties, import clearance process
- Work experience of Chemical or Pharmaceutical industry would be preferred.
- Exposure to handling and storage of chemicals including hazardous materials.
