Job Description
Dear Candidate,
We are looking for Manager/ Sr. Manager Transportation Operations in Mumbai, location, candidate with below mentioned experience in hardcore Transportation or Courier background can only apply.
- Developing innovative process for proactive management of all line haul freight movements and to secure service, sop monitoring and timely placement of vehicles for required customers
- Overall monitoring of day to day operation functionalities
- Monitoring and controlling first mile/ last mile, processing, and connections of shipments
- Collect, track & present metrics related to process, team accuracy and efficiency and drive improvements in efficiency, throughput, and cost across the organization, manage pilferage and loss.
- Finalization of new line-haul & feeder routes and negotiate contracts with outside providers to minimize costs to the company and customers.
- Planning of vehicle allocation as per the indent.
- Tracking of vehicles, route planning of the assigned fleet.
- Responsible for on time allocation of fleet & on time delivery across the network.
- Vendor management, screening and developing new vendor.
- Arrange the vehicle all telecommunication warehouse & ODC project work cargo all type trailer hydraulic axle vehicle
- Company vehicle maintains and fleet management
- Responsible for procurement of vehicles on an optimal cost
- Coordinated, managed, and supported gatherings with present and potential clients. Led arranging, dispatching and back-haul exercises while giving great client benefit
- Manage and develop transportation team, conduct timely performance reviews, manage performance issues and lead regularly scheduled team meetings
- Minimize risk throughout the supply chain through effective communication with key stakeholders
- Accountable for timely generation of DNs
- Responsible for managing outstanding under control and collection of 100% pod, PNL review
- Adequate spot training to people on areas / implementation and improvisation
- Develop and maintain key drivers for transportation planning and forecasting. Monitor and compare trends against key driver projections
- Managing region daily activities, handling local issues
- Contact for RTO issues. Review of RTO/in transit costs all through India
- Maintain a good rapo with the customers/ activity in charges, communicate to client over email & phone and coordinate client to facilitate the distribution of materials across site.
- Co-ordinate with operation department in respect to truck arrival & departure and truck

C). Logistic companies handled transportation profile
D). Courier companies
E). Candidate with PG/MBA in supply chain would be given a preference
