Linux Server Administrator @ Trigent

Job Description

Dear Candidates

We are looking for a Linux Server Administrator for one of our client at Pune location.

Experience : 7-12 Yrs

Notice Period preferred Immediate to within 15-20 days joiners.

Work location: Pune (Kharadi)

Overall Responsibilities:

Support the project to change IP addresses on virtual servers. Resource will be responsible for migrating VMs (VDI Virtual Desktop and VSI Virtual Servers) between physical cloud hosts to release old IP addresses.

Specific Responsibilities:

- Perform change control and communicate/coordinate outage with users.

- Migrate VMs to new cloud hosts. Update network bridge on VM in target locations.

- Ensure VMs are operational on new hosts and resolve any issues encountered.

- Coordinate with server owners for post migration validation.

- Perform back-out to original hosts if required.

- Decommission unused servers at the end of the migrations

Skills:

Required:

- Good Linux server administration skills (all aspects of interacting with and managing a Linux operating system, file system management)

- Xen hypervisor commands

- Good troubleshooting skills

- Linux networking skills:

o Understanding and experience with VLANs and bridges, network bonding

- Experience with Linux multi-path drivers for SAN storage and storage configuration from Linux hosts

- Ability to work independently

Preferred:

- General Windows skills

- Experience with iscsi storage targets (for example, how to discover them from a Linux sever and how to troubleshoot iscsi storage access from a Linux server)
