The Database Reliability Engineer will provide technical leadership support and scaling of AWS servers powering our applications.

Responsibilities :

• Design, build and maintain back-end databases using AWS RDS
• Analyze and improve efficiency, scalability, and stability of various database resources and execute system changes and upgrades
• Perform database capacity planning, maintenance, monitoring and performance tuning
• Setup Database monitoring, alerting and graphing methods with the SRE team and regularly evaluate and improve it
• Diagnose and troubleshoot database escalations, work on incidents until resolution and employ measures to prevent a recurrence
• Collaborate with SRE, DevOps and development team to build tools using Python
• Work on security policies and procedures that prevent data loss
• Execute performance and load testing on databases

Required Skills :

• 4+ Years of experience in the production database and site reliability, database administration, DevOps or SaaS Technical Operations
• Experience with Python and other scripting languages
• Experience with Amazon RDS
• Experience in relational databases and NoSQL databases
• Good understanding of cloud database technologies
• Experience in using automation and orchestration tools (Terraform, Chef)
• Strong verbal & written communication skills

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or equivalent work experience
