Job Description
About the Role Provides 16x7 Engineering support to various applications in ESPM with specific skills API Services and Operation Support for Internal API Gateway covering L1 and L2 Support.
Tasks includes but not limited to API Gateway Platform management, Upgrades and Support w.r.t to key platform metrics (Availability, scalability and resiliency).
Responsibilities Duties are varied and may include one or more of the following:
- Manage production support and maintenance activities of applications and multiple vendor products in multiple support frameworks (16X7, 16X5 etc) at WFEGS for API Gateway Team in India.
- Responsible to work closely with stakeholders to ensure issues are addressed per agreed service timelines.
- Resolve environment availability issues and work with stakeholder teams for resolution and communication.
- Act as a Subject Matter Expert in recommending newer technology practices and upgrading systems as required by market and organization frameworks.
- Engage with technology teams to deliver production releases and proof of concepts.
- Plan for business continuity, under various disruption scenarios.
- Drive automation across various processes with in Platform management/support.
- Responsible for creating opportunities for team members (including the managers) growth
- Accountable for expectations setting (goal settings) for the team members in line with the larger LoB and EGS goals (functional - technical/domain and behavioral)
- Responsible to mentor team members and provide avenues to meet the team members aspirations
- Works closely with the HR Partners on various talent items covering the entire talent landscape (include but not limited to the below):
- * Provide timely feedback and manage overall performance of the team members and ensure to build and sustain high performance work culture
- * Accountable for the overall engagement of the work group and manage attrition
- Bachelor degree with 12 - 15 years of experience in Production/Application support teams
- 5+ years of experience in Middleware, Enterprise Service Bus or API Management
- Willingness to work on shifts 16x7, flexible working hours and attend late night calls
- Primary Skill: API APIGEE, Micro Services Architecture patterns, PCF, Cloud, Splunk, Release Management, Vulnerability and Patching Management.
- Apache Kafka Event management platform.
