Virtusa is hiring for Sr Engineer & Lead - Data.

Job Locations: Bangalore, Chennai, Pune, Mumbai, Gurgaon & Hyderabad

Experience Range: 4 yrs to 12 yrs

Role: Permanent

Notice Period: Immediate Joiners to 15 days


Job Details

Sr Engineer - Data


  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  2. 4+ years of overall hands-on experience in using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols.
  3. Experience in designing data platforms with API based ingestion and consumption requirements
  4. Experience in Databases like AWS DBs like Aurora, DynamoDB, Document DB
  5. Experience in implementing Data migration solution from on-premises to AWS
  6. Strong knowledge of Cloud Computing and ETL/Data processing technologies like Spark, Python
  7. Hands on experience on NoSQL DBs like DynamoDB, Document DB, MongoDB
  8. Hands on experience on implementing AWS Glue, EMR, Lambda functions, SQS, SNS
  9. Experience on Real-time data ingestion and processing in AWS using services like AWS Kinesis
  10. Experience in using AWS API Gateway
  11. Experience in metadata management, data modeling, and related tools (Erwin or ER Studio or others)
  12. Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous task assignments
  13. Experience in following agile methodology and/or working in scrum teams


TECHNICAL LEAD - Data



  1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
  2. 8+ years of overall experience with minimum 4+ years of hands-on experience as a technical lead
  3. Minimum 2+ years of experience in leading and providing technical leadership to a 10+ member team(s) working on a complex Cloud solution
  4. Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous task assignments
  5. Experience in following agile methodology and/or working in scrum teams
  6. Hands-on experience in data modeling using RDBMS, dimensional, NoSQL data platform technologies, and ETL and data ingestion protocols.
  7. Experience in designing data platforms with API based ingestion and consumption requirements
  8. Experience in Databases like AWS DBs like Aurora, DynamoDB, Document DB
  9. Experience in implementing Data migration solution from on-premises to AWS

  18. Ability to communicate and present to a wide variety of audiences, both business and technical
