Job Description
- Provide eCommerce expertise and drive strategic thinking
- Must have Microservices development experience with Dockerization, Kubernetes , AWS Cloud Resources (RDS, Redis, MSK)
- Arechitecting with AWS tools and technologies
- Engage as a subject matter expert with business users and delivery team
- Translate strategic requirements into deliverable projects
- The e-commerce architect experts should make use of new technologies to maximize the performance of the respective e-commerce application.
- Research and make recommendations software products via fit gap analysis process.
- Architect overall technical design for enterprise level e-commerce applications; document the details in technical design document then engage with team of developers to build and implement the solution.
- Analyze risks and advise on risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor the problem and resolve any complex issues with no to minimal impact to users
- Create, communicate, and maintain best practices and coding standards for team. Hold the development team accountable to follow these best practices.
- Responsible for providing technical leadership throughout the project life-cycle. Provide guidance in designing, user interface, technology integration, and interfacing with the client technology and management teams.
- Collaborate with other architects to update architecture documents and other development processes documents.
- Drive end-to-end success of the project by working closely with cross functional teams - business and IT sponsors, PMO, BAs, Testers, and developers, as/when needed.
- Lead and develop prototype new technologies to implement applications
- Manage and handle issues requiring escalation
- Good communicational skills, both verbal as well as written
- Performance diagnostics and Monitoring ( E.g heap dump , thread dump and gc analysis and usage of monitoring and logging tools
- Assess the existing Configuration Management process and proposed/implemented DevOps CI/CD automated solutions replacing manual build, test and deployments using GitHub, Jenkins and Ansible
- Develop System, Security, Performance and Physical Architecture Diagram standards that are approved and adopted by CIS and Technical Review Board (TRB).
Must Have:
5+ years of experience in leading eCommerce platforms as a solution architect.
Strong hands-on skills and 10+ years of real-life experience in architecting, designing, and customizing at least one popular commercial ecommerce platforms/package (e.g. WebSphere, SAP Hybris, X-Cart, Shopify, Magento, Square Space, WooCommerce, etc.).
Experience in integrating ecommerce platforms/application with marketing application.
Experience combining multi-channel commerce, multi-channel marketing, and other important technologies.
Experience in conducting technology benchmarking and industry analysis of ecommerce platforms to define the strategic direction and justify which platform is suitable for the given context / user needs.
Technical architect level expertise in architecting, developing, and implementing enterprise-wide solutions with focus on eCommerce application.
Experience creating Architecture and design diagram and be able to communicate clearly around the architecture decision made..
Minimum 10-15 years of hands-on experience in Java based application development environment involving some of the related technologies namely Java, J2EE, SpringBoot, Spring, JSON, XML, JavaScript, Linux, any Database (Oracle, SQLServer, MySQL, Postgres, etc.), and any application server (JBoss/Weblogic server/WebSphere server/Tomcat).
Experience on use of AWS Resources, deployments
Experience on any Cluster management (e.g , Kubernetes , EKS, AKE, GKE)
Experience on Dev Ops Automation tools
Use of Jenkins , GitHub CI/CD pipeline
Knowledge on Unix / Linux
Knowledge of implementing ecommerce for Technology services firm.
Experience with Order Management System integration and SAP integration will be a plus.
Educational Qualification:
Minimum bachelor's degree in computer science or any other related field.
Masters degree is a plus
