Location/Division Specific Information
DevOps Engineer III, based out of our Bangalore location, plays a key role in Enterprise Data Platform (EDP) Operations organization providing operational continuity for critical business processes, IT systems and IT solutions through project operations support, enhancements, documentation and operational support.

What will you do
  • Own and deliver operations support associated with data platform solutions
  • Monitor, provision, automate and build services and platform elements such as Pyspark/EMR, databases, AWS Athena, S3, Redshift, AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Glue and other Data Engineering technologies using GitHub, Terraform, Jenkins and other DevOps tools.
  • Deploy and maintain CI/CD pipelines across multiple environments
  • Manage life cycle of AWS compute, storage and service components and other cloud platform tools, including GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, Jira, and Confluence.
  • Follow agile development methodologies to support solutions and product features by following DevOps, Data Ops and Dev Sec Ops practices.
  • Design, develop and maintain builds, scripts, installation procedures and manage the version control and issue tracking systems.
  • Measure performance and environment of application with system & application log tools and act to improve accordingly.
  • Automate repetitive tasks (e.g. scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.)
  • Be available and participate in on-call schedule to address critical operational incidents and business requests
  • Manage cost associated with AWS services usage. Propose, Implement and show definite cost optimizations and achieve proposed results within defined periods

How will you get here
  • Education
  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science with at least 5 years of DevOps experience using GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform, AWS services and agile development methodologies.
  • Having AWS Certifications like AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer, Certified DevOps Engineer, SysOps Administrator is desirable.
  • Experience
  • 6+ years of IT professional experience and at least 3+ as AWS DevOps / System Engineer
  • Realtime Project implementation experience in AWS involving ETL pipelines, AWS Glue, API gateway and Redshift as database using DevOps methodologies is mandatory.
  • Working knowledge of Pyspark/EMR, Athena, S3, Redshift, AWS API Gateway, Lambda, Glue, IAM, EC2, VPC, ELB, ALB, Autoscaling and other AWS managed services required for DevOps/DataOps is mandatory
  • Should have implemented CI/CD using GitHub, Jenkins, Terraform at least once
  • Strong Experience with Version Control Systems (GitHub is Mandatory. Bitbucket, CVS etc. is preferred)
  • Proven Expertise with scripting via Bash, Python, Ruby, etc.
  • Practical Knowledge of creating/Managing databases Cassandra, RDBMS, Redshift
  • Hands-on with system & application log tools like Datadog, CloudWatch, Splunk etc.
  • Knowledge of Firewalls, NAT, Port, Subnetting, VPC, VPNs, HA, Backups is desired
  • Knowledge of Docker containerization and clustering (Kubernetes/ECS) is plus.
  • Working Experience using Jira for task prioritization and Confluence and other tools for documentation.
  • Experience working with Python, Python ML libraries for data analysis, wrangling and insights generation.
  • Working knowledge of Service Now or other ticket management tool

  • Experience with agile development methodologies by following DevOps, Data Ops and Dev Sec Ops practices.
  • Excellent written, verbal and inter-personal and stakeholder communication skills.
  • Ability to analyze trends associated with huge datasets using ML and data analysis techniques.
  • Ability to work with cross functional teams from multiple regions/ time zones by effectively leveraging multi-form communication (Email, MS Teams for voice and chat, meetings)
  • Excellent prioritization and problem-solving skills.
