Role & Responsibilities:
As part of a cross-functional development team, this person will perform various firmware & software development, testing and documentation duties on projects as assigned by the product development manager for development for Industrial Datalogger products.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own & Maintain Embedded Firmware for Data Logger product family
- Captures requirements & derive technical specifications to be implemented. Provides estimates on planning of these requirements.
- Clearly articulates test cases with pass criteria. Performs testing, documents test results, reviews the test data & analyses failures interpedently with root cause and counter measures to fix the issues
- Leverages peer review & communicates openly to find options to simplify tasks. Adopt platform strategy and practice standard design rules/patterns
- Capable of guiding the team on applicable standards and design solutions. Can clearly make own judgement & workarounds.
- Constant learner to become a Subject Matter Expert.
Education & Experience levels:
Masters or bachelors degree in Engineering with electronics / Computer Science with 8 plus years of experience in relevant software industry.
Skills, Knowledge and Experience:
- Embedded software development ,Software Integration
- Design and development for windows and Linux environment
- Embedded C,C++,C# ,Java,SQL , Perl, shell script
- IP Networking (TCP/IP,PPP),IOT Protocols (MQTT,HTTPS )
- Experience suitable for the Application developement ,UI development
- Ability to understand and follow engineering processes such as SCRUM, version control, and bug management.
- Very good with data structures, design patterns, object-oriented design and algorithms used in programming.
- Very strong with network programming using TCP/IP, USB interfaces, Serial interfaces.
- Experienced in various bus interfaces like CAN, SPI and I2C.
- Ability to work in all aspects of software development lifecycle, including design, development, testing and technical/user documentation as part of a cross functional team.
