Job Description

• The person will do basic literature search.
  
• Carry out multiple reactions at bench to support R&D activities
  
• The person will safely conduct multi-step synthetic organic reactions under the guidance of a group leader.
  
• Responsibilities include set-up of reaction apparatus, addition of reagents and solvents, monitoring reactions, work-up, separation, purification (recrystallization, distillation, chromatography, etc.) and analysis (HPLC, GC, KF, GC, melting-point, etc.).
  
• Synthesis of molecules as per the defined route on milligram scale up to kilogram and implement on plant.
  
• To solve the problems encountered in the process of plant scale for existing products and new products.
  
• To write the R&D summary report after successful completion of the project.
  
• Other tasks include overseeing the maintenance/ organization of the lab, notebook record keeping.
