POSITION SUMMARY (Key tasks and outcomes):
The Qlikview developer is responsible for delivering the dashboards and reports as requested by the clients
Primary Tasks/Activities:
- Provide production database support with specific focus on availability, capacity, performance, security and recoverability
- Perform database installation, configuration, tuning, capacity planning, health checks, backups and recovery and change management activities in accordance with documented standards
- Assist in documenting database strategies and architectures
- Participate in tool evaluation, integration and support
- Participate in logical and physical database design and assist application developers in applying DBMS technology
- Provide on-going performance tuning tasks in database environments.
- Maintain and execute SSIS/SSRS/SSIS packages for database automation and cross network connectivity.
- Maintain stored procedures and TSQL scripts - Provide support to development teams when they in troubleshooting the entire application stack.
- Recommend changes to database design to improve process throughput and ensure performance.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS
Knowledge Components:
- Experience in database server migrations to Azure.
- Familiarity with SQL Server in a clustered environment.
- Experience in database tuning and project support.
- Experience in database server upgrades and migrations.
- Experience in troubleshooting database stored procedures.
- Experience working directly with business stakeholders, end users, as well as technical teams.
- Has worked independently with little or no direct supervision
- Knows fundamentals of database implementation and maintenance.
- Knows basic database concepts (including configuration, modeling and security) and understands how to apply these concepts (but needs more experienced direction).
- Competent to work in more than one phase of database administration (typically documentation and maintenance).
- Good knowledge on Jira process.
- Good oral, written and client service skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Data Warehouse administration experience
- Microsoft certification a strong plus
Experience (Years and types):
- 5 to 10 years of experience administering SQL Server Database Systems in a production environment.

Travel:
This position requires up to 25% travel. Some of the travel is international.
