Job Description
As an experienced member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are passionate around solving business problems through innovation & engineering practices. You will be required to apply your depth of knowledge and expertise to all aspects of the software development lifecycle, as well as partner continuously with your many stakeholders on a daily basis to stay focused on common goals. This role requires a wide variety of strengths and capabilities, including:
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience
- Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across all systems
- Proficiency in multiple modern programming languages
- Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
- Keen understanding of financial control and budget management
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- BE/BTech/MCA degree or equivalent experience
- Advanced knowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines
- Understanding of architecture and design across all systems
- Working proficiency in developmental toolsets
- Knowledge of industry wide technology trends and best practices
- Ability to work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovative culture
- Proficiency in one or more modern programming languages: Java/J2EE/Java EE/JakarthaEE
- Understanding of software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance and software improvement
- Code in a heterogeneous technology environment e.g. JavaScript, UI, MVC, HTML, CSS, Java.
- You have a passion for creating the best user experience possible.
- As a Software Engineer, drive the technical team and Product Owners in an Agile development process.
- 10 plus years of experience in Software Engineering with:
- Strong web development experience with in-depth understanding of JavaScript, AJAX, JSON, HTML5, CSS
- Preferred experience in front-end frameworks like AngularJS, ReactJS
- Proficient with Java, Spring, Micro Services, Spring Boot, Web Services SOAP/ReST, Oracle RDBMS, Design Patterns, Java Messaging, Cloud Foundry.
- Working knowledge in test automation frameworks and test runners.
- Accessibility / WCAG 2.1 compliance guidelines knowledge and/or experience desired.
- Experience in large customer facing applications highly preferred.
- Nice to have - Domain Driven Design, Event Driven Architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, No SQL, Kafka, Cassandra
- Experience with other Agile/Lean practices such as XP or Kanban.
- Participation in Test Driven Development or Behavior Driven Development.
- Expertise in application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines.
- Advanced knowledge of architecture, design and business processes.
- Practice of Continuous Integration or Continuous Delivery.
