Job Description
Fiat Chrysler Automobiles is searching for an experienced Business Analytics Analyst/Developer to join our team. The ideal candidate should be highly skilled in all aspects of business & data analytics. This person will bring technical expertise to ensure the quality and accuracy of that data, then process, design and present it in ways to help people, businesses, and organizations make better decisions. To do this, they must understand the data in terms of business usage and KPIs to identify the potential sources of the data (source systems, external data, transformed etc). They will be responsible for the full development lifecycle from requirements, architect, design, develop, test, debug, support and document high-performing, scalable, enterprise-grade applications.Key Responsibilities included but not limited to:
Accountable for on time and quality delivery of the requirements and functional specifications
Work with business users and other key stakeholders to enlist and prioritize feature list for each release
Assist in project planning and estimation, assign timelines for the tasks and ensure timely delivery of the project
Communicate the business requirements effectively to ensure buy-in from all stakeholders
Conduct and coordinate requirements review meeting and work closely with the team to clarify any missing requirements definition and ensure that blockers are cleared on daily basis
Responsible for both front end and back end application development
Responsible for creating detailed reports and developing dashboards using industry standard BA tools, including Qlikview, Qlik Sense, Cognos, Business Objects, and other tools that could be used for an enterprise solution.
Responsible for designing, implementing and monitoring the full Java stack.
Understand the data, the data sources, harmonize and cleanse the data so it can be used by the business or decision making actions.
Experience in Extract / Transform / Data Model / Application Layer used in enterprise tools
Ensure the quality and accuracy of data, interpret the data, and proactively identify patterns that can be utilized as part of descriptive as well as prescriptive analytics tools that enable data-driven decisions
Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
Identify datasets (internal and external) and work with DB Solution Architect to integrate the data into a stable and extensible pipeline
Analyzes and improves the efficiency of various systems and services
To prepare and present data in the right form (graphs, charts or tables) for decision-making and problem-solving
Design scripts and data models for high performance applications
Involve in creating action filters, parameters and calculations for dashboards and worksheets in QlikVIew
Prepare and maintain technical design documentation
Conduct code reviews and test codes to identify bottlenecks, and resolve any issues
Assist business users during UAT
Provide post-production support and knowledge transfer to the maintenance team/ clients as applicable
Promote and leverage automation in the process (testing, build and deployment)
Provide timely functional support in order to respond to critical usage requests from the business
Identify the root cause of events/incidents to improve operational efficiency and deliver effective solutions
Act as a lead and provide training and guidance to the developers
Proactively monitors industry trends and identifies opportunities to implement new technologies
Conducts knowledge transfer to other IT and business personnel
Qualifications, Experience and Competency Requirements:
Education:
Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, IT, Computer engineering or a related field
ExperienceEssential:
3+ years of relevant project experience in successfully launching, planning, executing application development projects
3+ years of experience as a Qlikview developer
Working Knowledge of other industry standard BA tools, including Cognos, Qlik Sense, Business Objects, and other tools that could be used for an enterprise solution
Ability to write complex SQL and stored procedures
Proficiency in building Qlikview data models and load scripts
Working knowledge of ETL automations
Experience with ,DB2, PostgreSQL, and SQL DB
Experience in several languages such as Object Oriented Programming, Java, XML, SQL, Python, R, C++, C#, .NET, or other domain-specific programming languages
Proficiency with Front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS and JavaScript
Proven experience as a full stack developer
Experience of working across multiple deployment environments including cloud, on-premises and hybrid, multiple operating systems and through containerization techniques such as Docker, Kubernetes, AWS Elastic Container Service, and others
Experience with web/ application servers like Tomcat, Jetty, JBoss etc
Experience with distributed data/computing and database tools: MapReduce, Hadoop, Hive, Kafka, MySQL, Postgres, DB2 or Greenplum, etc.
Experience with server side architectures and system design and development
Experience in systems development lifecycle and Agile development methodologies
Experience in system/process documentation
All candidates must be self-driven, curious and creative and demonstrate a willingness to learn new technologies and development methodologies
Must demonstrate the ability to work independently as well as part of a diverse, cross-functional teams
Should be confident, energetic self-starters, with strong moderation and communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools such as Excel, PowerPoint, Word and Google Suite; Slides, Sheets and Docs
Exceptional communication, organizational, teamwork, and interpersonal skills
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
Experience in working with Agile and DevOps methodologies
Self motivated with strong project management skills to handle multiple projects at once
Desirable:
Certified Java & Qlikview developers desired
Experience with COBOL, JCL, CICS, IMS, and MS Access
Working knowledge of web service (JSON, REST, JAX-RS, Spring based REST services)
Experience in OS tools such as Linux, Unix, etc.
Knowledge in CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, etc.
Knowledge in configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, etc.
Specific Skill Requirement Required: DB2 SQL, PostgreSQL, Qlik Sense, QlikView, Java/J2EE, Spring framework (Spring and Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Data, Spring Security), JavaScript ( and JS frameworks such as Angularjs), HTML5, CSS, SQL/No SQL DB, Google Suite & MS Office Tools
Preferred Skills: Programming languages such as Python, Ruby, etc.; Web services such as REST/Soap; CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, etc; Configuration tools such as Chef, Puppet, etc; ,Cloud platforms (AWS/Azure); Mainframe Cobol, JCL, CICS & IMS
