Job title: Area Sales Manager (ASM)| FMCG
Salary : 7-9LPA
FMCG *Products in Consideration: Cold Cuts, Sanitaz + Gadget disinfecting wipes
*line-up of other SKUs over next 3 6 months.
Description:
The ASM will strategize to launch Artisan Deli & other FMCG products in South India regions, by creating detailed plans on bringing the new product line and subsequently planning to get a market share.
S/he prioritises key opportunities and markets, reviewing the scope of MT and GTs, and leading Distributors to advance network with B2C, B2B, etc.
The ASM will own the process and relationship management of onboarding with Modern Trade and General Trade Business.
The ASM invests in market and competitor landscape through extensive research and travel, and to develop optimized strategies to grow Artisan Deli.
The ASM will have continual travel to the major cities of South & West India to expand business, meet vendors/ distributors in other states and negotiate deals and develop business relationships
The ASM will provide inputs for marketing and digital teams basis market understanding & travel to increase awareness and align efforts to develop market share.
The ASM will be responsible for coordinating with Production house, own the ordering and receiving stock processes at store houses or distributor go-downs, as well as work with distributors to push product.
The ASM will own the Sales officers/ Promoters/ Merchandizers and develop them to take on larger roles and wider areas to manage.
The ASM will set structures, systems and processes to interact with vendors on orders, delivery and payments
The ASM will stay on top of collections to ensure payments are received in time, and avoid losses for the business.
The ASM will have regular visits to end supermarkets, food halls to understand the movement of products and gather feedback on same.
Key Accountabilities
Achieve Sales targets overall and at individual city/ state/ region level
Entry and presence in new cities/ state
Manage the aligned team
Manage relationship and be accountable with key stakeholders (Owners of Artisan Deli), as well as have strong relations with key players, which is end customer.
Sales figures are continual and consistent throughout different intervals of the year
Recover payments in a timely and efficient manner
New launches are seamlessly added to the network built
Personal Skillset
10+ years of experience with FMCG Sales
Necessary experience with Freezer/ cold storage of 2+ years
Team Management: Handle, guide and develop team of Sales officers/ Managers/ Promoters
Influencer: Strong communicators who can influence a neutral/ potential customer into a firm and long term- customer
English & Hindi is a requirement. Multiple Indian languages is an advantage
Very flexible to travel across cities and India
Ability to work with least and remote supervision of self and team
Show a great attitude as a person and at work, with a will-do and can- achieve approach
Is growth/career focused, both for the business and themselves and their teams
Ownership: Is hands-on, and sets out to do the job him/herself when required
An ability to remain calm under extreme pressure
Extremely competent negotiator with a can-do attitude
Ability to handle sales of various products and services
Is organized and efficient with reports as needed
Business-centric approach to drive sales and balance client-centric approach to maintain clients
Drive to succeed seen through promptness in execution with results
Ability & willingness to stretch and go the extra mile when needed
