Job Description

We are hiring for Database engineer at VIRTUSA

Experience: 3-4 Years relevant experience in IT

We are looking for Database Professionals at Virtusa

MUST HAVE

Experience with NoSQL/ Document databases and their administration.

Excellent understanding of the MongoDB installation, configuration, maintenance, security and audit logging.

Excellent understanding of the CRUD Operations, Replica Sets, Sharding, database schemas, indexing (B-Tree, Geospatial, Text) for performance improvement, query optimizations and performance tuning.

Proficiency in installing, configuring, monitoring and maintaining PostgreSQL software, implement monitoring & alerting.

Proficiency in PostgreSQL High Availability and Replication technologies like streaming, hot standby installation and operations.

Should HAVE

Experience in backup/recovery procedures, patching, upgrade and migration

Experience with Ops Manager or Cloud Manager.

Experience with MEAN stack.

Experience with implementing data ingestion techniques for real time and batch processes

Performance tuning, optimization and troubleshooting

Working knowledge of UNIX & Linux Environments.

Shell Scripting/Python for housekeeping/Automation.

Good Knowledge on setting up NoSQL DBs (Mongo, Cassandra, Couchbase), its maintenance and troubleshooting.
