Job Description
Assistant Manager - SAP / SQL & SAS
- The Salesforce Analyst will provide ongoing analytic support to the Team and commercial sales organization.
- This role will partner with sales team members to craft, build and improve sales reports and dashboards.
- This role will work very closely with the Analytics Leader to prioritize and measure the efficiency of sales strategies across each of the portfolios. They will also work with the analytics team to prioritize and respond to cases submitted by the sales organizations.
- These cases will include requests such as improvements to meet the changing needs and priorities of our sales teams and client partners. Additionally, help to supervise and analyze the data to ensure effective data integrity and governance throughout the Salesforce.com environment. This individual will gain a broad understanding of the portfolios, processes, and business strategies across all business platforms and will partner with teams across the entire B2B lifecycle experience.
- Develop Salesforce Lightning reporting & dashboards to drive sales actions within the Salesforce ecosystem
- Engage with commercial/sales representatives to understand their strategic objectives
- Understand key sales processes and how those processes translate to data in Salesforce
- Develop reports & dashboards within Salesforce Lightning
- Modify and enhance existing reporting & dashboard to address changing business needs
- Proven understanding of Salesforce objects, data structures, filters, queries, and SOQL
- Proven understanding of the Einstein and Marketing Cloud platforms
- Prioritize and respond to cases submitted within the Salesforce platform
- Report and/or Dashboard development or improvements
- Data analysis to ensure accuracy and consistency
- Analyze and provide insights on sales initiatives, performance to goals and territory alignment
- Act as a Salesforce reporting analytics SME, providing expertise through reporting/dashboard tracking and governance
- Ability to explain data within reports and dashboard to end users
- Monitor and track report usage
- Identify, consolidate and/or eliminate unnecessary reports and dashboards
- Train sales support and end-users across the business to apply filters, update reports
- Ensure data accuracy and consistency across reports, dashboards and data structures within the environment through data validation and auditing
- Documentation to ensure appropriate definitions, updates, usage, and understanding of key data elements
- Additional projects as assigned which may include demonstrating SAS & SQL to tie out data between Salesforce and data warehouses
Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in analytics, STEM or business-related field
- Experience building Salesforce business reports and/or dashboards
- Ability to understand business requests/requirements and translate into technical specifications
- Meaningful work experience including data visualization tools such as Salesforce.com, Tableau and/or Excel
- Work experience with SQL, SOQL, SAS, or other programming language such as C++, Python, or R
- Experience querying PDR and/or CDCI data warehouses
- Experience in a sales and/or retail environment
Pro-active self-starter who enjoys working in a fast paced work environment and collaborating with multiple partners in a geographically de-centralized environment
