Job Description
Lead Consultant, Python Data Engineer- In this role, you will be responsible for and as Python Developer with a team of Quantitative Analysts and Modelers, as well as various other business and technology units.
- Passionate about delivering tactical and strategic solutions to support the banks Market Risk processes and reporting.
- The individual will be part of an Agile team working closely with team members in India and New York.
- Perform development and provide system support as required for the project.
- Re-architect, re-design and re-engineer platforms to seek data distribution and orchestration problems.
- Understanding of the banking technology landscape along with the ability to analyze requirements, identify data sources, and communicate to downstream systems efficiently.
- BE/B Tech/ MCA
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Solid relevant experience in Python and PySpark.
- Good Experience with SparkSQL, Spark Streaming Python.
- Need to have good experience in Hadoop, Hive, and HBase
- Demonstrable understanding of Data Structures, Algorithms, and Object-Oriented Design.
- Hands-on experience with stream processing applications as Kafka, KSQL, and understanding of low-level Kafka inner workings and partitioning schemes
- Experience with SQL Design, Develop with a deep understanding of Optimization techniques (e.g.: DB2, Oracle, Teradata, SQL Server)
- Good knowledge of key AWS services EC2, EMR, GCP DataProc, Databricks, Azure HDInsisghts
- Knowledge of versioning tools like GIT, SVN and AWS services with architectural knowledge
- Creative ways of solving problems efficiently and logically
- Development experience in both Agile and Waterfall development methodologies.
- Solid grasp of distributed architecture including web services and messaging.
- Prior working experience in the financial services industry; specifically on Risk and Quantitative Modelling.
