Senior Manager, Commercial Solutions.Whatisthefocusofthefunction - Develop compelling proposals that meet client needs and articulate value proposition
- Perform insightful research and analysis of target companies/connects and markets
- Create commercial models to quantify the value to clients
- Manage the development of winning responses to RFIs and RFPs and maintain a library of current content
- Manage the development of relevant and impactful written communications that support business positioning and strategy
- Drive growth through providing support services to the wider BD team and proposals process
Whydoesthisjobexist Commercial solutions have the responsibility to own all proposals submitted to clients. In addition to RFIs / RFPs, we are working on pro-active proposals to build pipelines. Commercial solutions have the responsibility to create and maintain content on our products and services. Commercial solutions also help in crafting content for all marketing events that we participate in.
Howdoestheroleaddvalue This role indirectly contributes to the Company s revenue and margin by supporting the sales process adding new business and is quantifiable in terms of sales metrics such as gross pipeline added and sales booked.
How is this role outstanding from others This function and role pulls together sales, SMEs, external research to create commercial proposals, insights about the business and market, and builds impactful messaging to promote and support sales.
Who are the key relationships for this role The key relationships to be maintained in this role are with the Business Development team members, Practice leads, Talent Acquisition team and Finance team.
Responsibilities- Lead development of winning proposal responses to requests for proposals (RFPs) / pro-active proposals or requests for information (RFIs), including gathering, writing and assembling information, and editing for readability, consistency, and tone.
- Manage R&D of company and individual analyses (reports that identify relevant data and press, trends, operational strategy and opportunities.
- Guide generation and maintenance of content and templates in Tinderbox (software utilized by Genpact Pharma link to deliver proposals), so that it is relevant and accurate for proposal development.
- Lead writing analysis-supported business development communications to target external customers, e.g. introductory letters to Genpact Pharma link.
- Manage priorities and planning response times to requests for services.
- Manage the creation of and promotion of training for Tinderbox in the wider BD team.
QualificationsMinimum qualifications- Bachelor s Degree in business or communications field
- Analytical and writing experience
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Experience in strategy, research
- Interest or experience in the life sciences field
- Track record of delivering to deadlines, prioritization, handling expectations of customers
- Supervisory/management experience
Preferred qualifications- Process improvement experience
- Proposal writing experience
- Presentation skills (graphic design, layout)
