Inviting applications for the role of Principal Consultant - Automations Team - Perl/Python Developer
ResponsibilitiesWe are seeking skilled technologist within a team in Bangalore tasked with crafting the automation that supports our Linux and Storage platform. You will grow in this role because you will work alongside Distinguished Engineers and very experienced infrastructure engineers and developers, learning from some of the best in the field, and we will provide you with all the access to technical and management training courses. You will have the opportunity to work on many different areas to resolve excites you about this field.
On a technical level, the role requires use of declarative configuration-as-code principles and extensive automation to ensure high quality, well-tested and maintainable products are delivered through a CI/CD pipeline, able to be handed over to other teams for use and further maintenance in the long term.
Qualifications we seek in you Minimum qualifications- Ability to write robust, maintainable code in Python and/or Perl.
- Knowledge of Linux, including familiarity with C, UNIX system calls, and low-level O/S and network protocols. Block, file and object storage protocols.
- Experience working in a large, multinational enterprise in any industry vertical, showing experience of presenting and collaborating in globally distributed teams.
- Passion for modern development tools and practices including Git, Jenkins, automated testing, and continuous integration.
- Experience of designing, implementing and supporting large scale production IaaS platforms.
- Knowledge of building and leading Docker containers in a secure manner.
- Good interpersonal skills, excellent written and verbal communication.
- Must be able to work in an English environment
